Cookie policy
This Cookie policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how nojetlag.io uses them, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy, which you should read for a complete picture of how we process personal data.
A "cookie" is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit it. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. They can be used to make a website work (strictly necessary cookies), to remember your preferences (functional cookies), to measure how the site is used (analytics cookies), or to display personalized advertising (advertising cookies).
Our approach — By default, nojetlag.io sets only one strictly necessary cookie (cc_consent) to remember your choice regarding non-essential cookies. Non-essential cookies (currently limited to Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage measurement) are set exclusively after you give explicit, informed, and specific consent through the cookie banner that appears on your first visit. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Consent Mode v2 — We implement Google Consent Mode v2. When you first arrive on the site, all consent categories (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to "denied" by default. Google's tag is loaded only after you actively grant consent for analytics through the banner. If you refuse or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.
How to manage your choice on nojetlag.io — You can accept, refuse, or fine-tune your choice at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link available in the footer of every page and via the button at the bottom of this page. Changing your choice takes effect immediately for the current and future page views; previously collected data (if any) remains subject to the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy.
How to manage cookies through your browser — Independently from the choice you make on our banner, you can also manage cookies from your browser settings. Consult the help pages of your browser for detailed instructions: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Brave. Blocking or deleting cookies through the browser does not affect the functionality of the planner, which runs entirely client-side, but it may reset your cookie preferences on nojetlag.io and force the banner to reappear.
Consequences of refusal — If you refuse analytics cookies, all features of the Service remain fully available. The planner, the blog, the legal pages, and the affiliate redirects continue to work exactly as designed. The only impact is that your visit is not counted in our aggregated statistics.
Cookies we may set — The table below lists all cookies that nojetlag.io may set on your device, together with their purpose, duration, owner, and legal basis under the GDPR.
